Mood and anxiety disorders represent some of the most challenging mental health conditions, often requiring specialised expertise when they become complex or resistant to standard treatments. These cases are addressed through focused care in several key areas:

  • Complex and treatment-resistant depression and bipolar disorders;
  • Severe, treatment-resistant Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD);
  • Post-traumatic stress disorders; and
  • Mental health conditions related to the perinatal period*, pregnancy loss and challenges in conceiving

* The perinatal period refers to the period of time from becoming pregnant until one year after childbirth

We adopt a collaborative, multi-disciplinary, and team-based approach in offering relevant assessment and intervention services to address the diverse needs of our patients.

  • Emotional Problems: Individuals often experience persistent sadness, irritability, or heightened feelings of hopelessness, excessive worry, fear, or panic attacks.
  • Physical Health Issues: These can include chronic headaches, muscle tension, fatigue, sleep disturbances (insomnia or hypersomnia), and changes in appetite or weight.
  • Cognitive Impairment: Difficulty in concentrating, decision-making, or remembering things.
  • Social Withdrawal: Patients may isolate themselves from friends and family, leading to a decrease in social interactions and support.
  • Co-occurring Disorders: Many individuals with mood and anxiety disorders may also experience other mental health issues, such as substance use disorders or personality disorders.
  • Impact on Daily Functioning: These disorders can significantly affect a person's ability to perform at work, maintain relationships, and engage in daily activities.

Our dedicated multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses and allied health professionals work together to provide appropriate care to cater to differing needs.
