Working as a Senior Case Manager at IMH has been a rewarding journey. Over the years, I’ve managed complex forensic cases, supported patients post discharge and post-prison release and mentored junior colleagues through challenging scenarios. My portfolios have given me opportunities to collaborate with various agencies. I had a clinic and hospital attachment in Australia which enriched my understanding of international mental health practices. In overall, I value the opportunity to contribute to patients’ care and support their recovery.
I have been a Senior Case Manager at IMH since 2015, where I work closely with elderly patients with mental illness. My role involves supporting their families to overcome stigma and accept their loved ones. I also support former inmates in reintegrating into society and overcoming stigma. Currently, I lead a team of case managers specialising in geriatric mental health, mentoring them to excel in their roles. Before healthcare, I gained experience in banking and IT as a system developer and project manager, switching from hardware to heart-ware services.
As a Case Manager for six years, I’ve worked closely with clients experiencing various mental health issues, including those facing mental health challenges during pregnancy and the first year after childbirth (perinatal). My role involves collaborating with stakeholders, organising case conferences, conducting home visits, and participating in research. This position has enabled me to build long-term, trust-based relationships with clients and professionals. It offers the opportunity to go beyond a typical 9-5 job through the meaningful connections we cultivate with both colleagues and clients.

My journey with IMH began in 2021 when I joined as a Case Manager. From the start, I was given numerous opportunities to learn, grow, and gain extensive experience in supporting individuals facing mental health challenges. Working closely with a diverse range of clients has deepened my understanding of the complexities of mental health and the importance of a compassionate, person-centric approach. The guidance, mentorship and training that I have received at IMH have been invaluable, allowing me to enhance my skills while making a meaningful impact on the lives of those I serve. I really enjoyed my time in IMH and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities IMH has provided, and I look forward to continuing to contribute to IMH's mission and vision for the betterment of our clients.
