Before attending the Mental Health Assessment,

1) Take some time to think about these questions:

  • What led you to make an appointment?
  • What issues are bothering you the most?
  • Do you have specific questions to ask?

If it helps, you can jot down notes and refer to them during the Mental Health Assessment. Remember, it's alright if your concerns are not crystal clear - a rough idea is sufficient!

2) Our Mental Health Assessment usually last an hour. Ensure you schedule about 1.5hours for it, in case of any delays. You might also want to have a short break after.

3) Do eat something beforehand, as sessions can be long.

Lastly, come with an open mind! Together with your youth support worker, you can make better sense of your situation, and explore your next steps.
