Galloway Memorial Lecture Award / Council of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore - Gold Medal 2011

A/Prof Chong Siow Ann, who was awarded the Galloway Memorial Lecture and gold medal by the Council of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore. He delivered the Lecture - What Ails the Populace? at the recent 45th Singapore-Malaysian Congress of Medicine, 2011. The Academy instituted this lecture in memory of Sir David Galloway, who was an eminent physician and clinical teacher in the early years of the Singapore Medical School.

8th MOH Healthcare Quality Improvement Poster Competition 2011

The Ministry of Health held the 8th MOH Healthcare Quality Improvement (HQI) Poster Competition 2011 in conjuction with the annual MOH HQI Conference which took place from 10 to 11 October. Congratulations to Dr Goh Yen-Li and A/Prof Rathi Mahendran on their third prize winning poster “Mental Health-GP Partnership Programme: A Successful Primary Care Model of Stable Psychiatric Outpatients Within The Community”.


AXA Research Fund - Postdoctoral Fellowships Campaign 2010

Dr Andrea Glenn has been awarded this AXA Postdoctoral Fellowship to pursue her post-doctoral work on examining the role of brain structure and its function in juvenile delinquency and risk-taking behaviours, and its impact on biological and psychosocial treatment efficacy.

National Medical Research Council (NMRC) Medical Research Scientist Award 2007

Ms Janhavi Vaingankar, Clinical Research Coordinator from the Research Division, received the NMRC Medical Research Scientist Award in September 2007. This award covered Ms Vaingankar's course fees for a Masters Degree in Epidemiology, offered by the prestigious London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine at the University of London.


Clinician Scientist Investigator (CSI) Award - Senior Clinician Scientist 2007

The Clinician Scientist Investigator (CSI) Award is an initiative by MOH's National Medical Research Council (NMRC) and A*STAR's Biomedical Research Council (BMRC). This prestigious CSI Award is meant to recognise the achievements of a selected few outstanding clinicians who possess a consistent record of excellance and potential leadership in research. A/Prof Chong Siow Ann received this award in recognition of his work in early psychosis intervention, schizophrenia genetics projects, psychiatric epidemiology and health services.


World Health Organisation State of Kuwait Health Promotion Award 2006

IMH/Woodbridge Hospital's Early Psychosis Intervention Programme (EPIP) won this award in recognition of its outstanding contribution to research in health promotion.
