E.g. autism, reading and learning problems related to emotional or psychiatric disorders, socialisation difficulties. - Disruptive behavioural problems
E.g. antisocial acts and conduct problems, such as lying, stealing, aggressiveness, destructiveness, disobedience, hyperactivity. - Emotional problems
E.g. feelings of depression, refusal to go to school, fears, suicidal ideas and attempts, anger, hostility, mood swings, adjustment reactions, school-related problems, grief, obsessive compulsive acts; unusually shy, inhibited, or withdrawn behaviour. - Other problems

Specialty Clinics & Programmes
The Neurobehavioural Clinic comprises Autism Services and ADHD Services.
Autism Services is a multidisciplinary team consisting of Psychiatrists and Allied Health Specialists such as Psychologists, Medical Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Research Fellows. We serve children and adolescents between 6 and 18 years old. They may be referred to us from other hospitals, polyclinics, general practitioners, schools or may be self-referrals.
ADHD Services offers specialised multi-disciplinary assessment and therapy for children and youth with ADHD and mental health co-morbidities. Through parent education and workshops, it seeks to work collaboratively with parents and caregivers in supporting their children’s needs.
The Mood & Anxiety Clinic (MAC) provides comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, and intervention for children with mood, anxiety, and other related emotional conditions that may require clinical attention.
Forensic Rehabilitation, Intervention, Evaluation & Network Development Services (FRIENDS) provides comprehensive and integrated multi-disciplinary assessment and intervention services targeted at the following groups facing mental health issues :
- Young offenders
- Youth-at-risk of committing offences
- Victims of child abuse
The National Addictions Management Service (NAMS) Adolescent Clinic also sees patients with problems, such as substance abuse, internet and gaming problems.
Community-Based Services
The Response Early Intervention and Assessment in Community Mental Health (REACH) for students is a mobile multidisciplinary team that works collaboratively with community partners, such as schools, voluntary welfare organisations (VWOs), and general practitioners (GPs) to help students with emotional, social and/or behavioural issues within the community.
CHAT promotes early help-seeking and mental health awareness among youths by working closely with post-secondary education institutions and social service agencies and providing personalised and confidential mental health checks to young people aged 16 to 30. Diagnosis and intervention programmes are available for adults (aged between 20 and 64) to tackle psychosis, mood disorders, addictions and other mental health problems.

Community-Based Services
Aged Psychiatry Community Assessment and Treatment Service (APCATS) is a community-oriented psycho-geriatric outreach service that provides assessment and treatment for homebound or frail elderly patients. APCATS provides assessments, treatments and other coordinated services to improve the continuity of care for our patients
In order to expand psychogeriatric services into the community, the Regional Eldercare Agencies Partnership (REAP) was set up as an extension of APCATS. REAP trains and taps on the support of community partners to detect and manage psychogeriatric problems in the community. Since 2008, in an effort to improve the continuity of care for the elderly, REAP has partnered community eldercare agencies and family physicians for training, consultation, coordination and support.
