March has been an eventful period for CHAT!
Our CHAT Team consisting of Dr Charmaine Tang, Lee Yi Ping, Nisa Ngaiman, Doris Cheong, Ong Shi Hui, and Wong Su Ting, were given the opportunity to be present at the 7th International Conference on Youth Mental Health, a biennial conference organised by The International Association for Youth Mental Health (IAYMH) at Vancouver 🇨🇦.
We were delighted to also be joined by our partners in Singapore: IMH Research, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, and Mindline.
IAYMH also served as an excellent opportunity to widen our perspectives on mental health issues around the world and how other countries' services aim to empower youths to take charge of their mental health.
The conference was also a great platform to connect with other like-minded individuals and organisations who are passionate about promoting youth mental health. In line with this, we had the privilege of meeting the team behind the Missing Middle Program run by British Columbia Children's Hospital and the Canadian Men's Health Foundation.
IAYMH has been a wonderful experience for us to learn about and exchange ideas about youth mental health! These insights we've gained will come in handy as we continue to pursue continued growth and excellence in serving the mental health needs of young people aged 16 to 30.
The conference also provided an opportunity for us to foster strong connections with representatives from Temasek Polytechnic and SHINE.
