Climate change is a global challenge. At IMH, we strive to be a Green Hospital by championing efforts guided by the principles of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The IMH Green Plan, in support of the Singapore Green Plan 2030 and in alignment with the GreenGov.sg movement, seeks to secure and sustain a green hospital for years to come. Our Green Plan is defined by five Key Pillars that are aimed at making IMH an environmentally-friendly hospital:

Build organisational awareness through green education
Reduce carbon footprint
Boost energy efficiency and conserve water
Practise 3Rs (reduce, reuse and recycle)
Green procurement and conscious purchasing

IMH is also part of the Global Green & Healthy Hospitals (GGHH) network that has over 1,350 members in 72 countries, representing interests of >43,000 hospitals and health centres. As a member, we can tap into GGHH’s data centre to learn strategies, research, and approaches to sustainable healthcare. It also provides technical guides and tools to help us work on our green programmes.
