Teens need to socialise. It’s an important developmental need. While we practise physical distancing during this “circuit breaker” period in a national effort to contain COVID-19, we should allow ourselves to use the variety of social media tools or even the telephone to continue to remain socially connected with one another. There are ways to help your teen manage during this stay-home period. Routines are a great way to help anyone in stressful times. Plan a routine and set the rules in consultation with your teen.
