Uploaded on 26 Jan 2018
Do you know how to use your medicines safely? Let Captain Med Safety show you 9 simple ways of doing so!

1. Know the name and purpose of your medication
2. Keep a list of your medications
3. Know how to take your medications (e.g. follow your drug labels, know when and how often you need to take your injections)
4. Do not take more or less of your medications than prescribed
5. Do not crush or break your medications unless instructed
6. Know where to store your medications
7. Do not use expired medications
8. Do not use someone else's medication
9. Keep your doctor and pharmacist informed if you have (i) any allergies, (ii) side effects, (iii) stopped your medication, or (iv) if your medication looks different in any way.

This medication safety message is brought to you by the Institute of Mental Health (IMH), Singapore and supported by Lundbeck.
