On The Road To Recovery
I was shattered and time seemed to stand still when I was diagnosed with a mental illness - schizophrenia. However, as I was introduced to Christianity, the words of the Bible gave me hope and faith that the Lord Adonai Jehovah would help me.
The friends I made in church helped me greatly by communicating frequently with me on the phone. They became a source of support for me. They often had meals with me, giving me a chance to share my weal and woe with them.
Encouraged by an association called YouthReach, I took up meditation to alleviate my stress and took up sports and exercise, such as weight-lifting, skipping and table tennis. Although things look alright to most people when they see me, I walk an unstable path which I may fall off one day if I am not careful. I may then end up like a bird which accidentally chokes and hangs from a tree while flying.
