Depression

Aspirations

For many years, many of my friends thought that my depression was about self-pity and that I could snap out of it with positive thinking or willpower. The truth is that depression is not entirely "all in the mind". It took me as long as 15 years to overcome many issues.

Through this set of pictures, I want to show that people with depression can be very high-functioning. I have always been a high-achiever and my next aspiration is to start my own business. The pictures not only feature a documentation of me setting up a new office. I also want to show that I can handle all the tasks that people may think are difficult.

Through this project, I hope to debunk the myth that depression is a disease that occurs in weak or powerless people.
