Forensic Services |
Our team comprises Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Medical Social Workers and Nurses. The Department of Forensic Psychiatry assesses all patients who are remanded by the Court for forensic psychiatric assessment, and assists the Court as an expert witness during court trials. The department also runs an outpatient forensic clinic for patients who have been charged for various offences and are referred for compulsory outpatient forensic assessment. Referrals to the clinic are accepted from private lawyers and the Police. The clinic also provides outpatient psychiatric follow-up for patients who have been discharged from the criminal procedure code but require compulsory outpatient care.
