The Division of Mental Health Education aims to promote mental health among Singaporeans by creating greater awareness about mental illness. Part of our efforts to destigmatize mental illness include organising public seminars, forums and talks, participating in health-related exhibitions and delivering corporate wellness programmes.
‘Mind Your Mind’ Programme
This is a public education programme for the control of major mental disorders in Singapore. The Institute of Mental Health in conjunction with the Health Promotion Board organizes the MYM Programme. Children/adolescent, adult and elderly sectors of the local population form the three target groups for the implementation of the Programme.
IMH Stress Management Programme (ISMP)
This Programme serves to empower the individual with the basic knowledge, skills and techniques to deal effectively with their daily stresses. The ISMP aims to enhance workplace health through its range of corporate wellness programmes targeting working adults and organisations/companies. Talks, seminars and workshops are customized to meet the needs of corporate clients.
Resources
A multidisciplinary panel of professional consultants who are practicing psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, nurses and social workers supports the Division.
The consultants also lend insights into psychiatry through various publications and books on mental health.
