Assessments
- Developmental problems
e.g. bedwetting and soiling, autism [+], language and speech delays, reading and learning problems related to emotional or psychiatric disorders, socialisation difficulties, mental retardation
- Disruptive Behavioural problems
e.g. antisocial acts and conduct problems like lying, stealing, aggressiveness, destructiveness, disobedience, hyperactivity
- Emotional problems
e.g. feelings of depression, school refusal, fears, suicidal ideas and attempts, anger, hostility, mood swings, adjustment reactions, school related problems, grief, obsessive compulsive acts, usual shyness, inhibition, withdrawn behaviour
- Other problems
Abnormal and odd behaviours, psychotic disorders, sleep related disorders, eating disorders and behavioural addictions[+] such as pathological video gaming
Treatment Methods
Our dedicated multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, medical social workers , speech language therapists, specialist teachers, occupational therapists and pharmacists ensure that our patients receive comprehensive and appropriate care. Treatment is designed to meet each child's needs. Treatment methods include:

Specialty Clinics & Programmes
The Autism Clinic specialises in the assessment, diagnosis and intervention for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders. These are a range of developmental disorders characterised by difficulties in socialisation communication and a restrictive and repetitive pattern of behaviours and interests.
The Children’s One-Stop Psycho-Educational Services (COPES) is a psycho-educational extension of the CGC and provides assessment and intervention for children requiring learning, social, emotional and/or behavioural support. Cases who present with pure learning disabilities are not seen at COPES.
The Community Addiction Medicine Department Adolescent Clinic also sees patients with problems such as substance abuse, internet and gaming problems. |

Community-Based Services
The Response Early Intervention and Assessment in Community Mental Health (REACH) for students is a mobile multidisciplinary team that works collaboratively with community partners such as schools, General Practitioners (GPs) and Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs) to improve mental health of children and adolescents.
Appointments & Referrals
All patients are seen by
appointment only. Parents or guardians are encouraged to

- Staff card ( for companies which are under Hospitalization Identity Card scheme with IMH)
