Adults aged between 20 and 64 are seen by the IMH team. Diagnosis and intervention programmes are available to tackle psychosis, addictions and other mental health disorders.

Specialty Clinics & Programmes

At IMH, our Anxiety and Mood Clinic treats disorders such as anxiety disorders and depression. Our Sleep Clinic also sees patients that have sleeping disorders such as insomnia. The Sexual Dysfunction Clinic treats both men and women for psychological and physical problems that affect a healthy sex life.

In addition our Community Addiction Medicine Programme (CAMP) seeks to provide assessment, counselling and management for patients with alcohol, nicotine, gambling and substance addiction.

Appointments and Referrals

All patients are seen by appointment. The family doctor or social agencies, can make referrals. The Institute of Mental Health (IMH) provides specialist outpatient services for psychological and psychiatric problems. Our dedicated multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, medical social workers and occupational therapists ensure that our patients receive comprehensive care. What to bring on your first visit
On your first visit to the clinic please bring along the following documents for registration:

Referral documents

  • Referral letter from your doctor

Identification documents

  • Identity Card (for Citizens or Permanent Residents of Singapore)
  • Passport (for foreigners)
  • Work permit / Employment pass (if any)
  • Any other identification documents

Medical benefit documents if available

  • Civil Service Card(if any)
  • Staff card (for companies which are under Hospitalization Identity Card scheme with the IMH)
  • Medical Fee Exemption Card (MFEC)
  • Public Assistance Card (PA)
  • Letter of Guarantee from company (if any)
  • Baby Bonus Nets Card (if any)
  • Any other medical benefit  document
