November 2004

EXSA Awards

The Excellent Service Award or EXSA is a national award that recognises individuals who have delivered outstanding service. The award seeks to develop service models for staff to emulate, create service champions and professionalise service. This year, 194 of IMH's staff received the award on 4 and 9 November 2004. Out of the 194, we had 7 Stars, 48 Golds and 139 Silver.

October 2004

Singapore H.E.A.L.T.H Awards

On 7 October 2004, IMH was awarded the H.E.A.L.T.H (Helping Employees Achieve Life-Time Health) Gold Award. IMH's CEO Mr Leong Yew Meng was awarded the inaugural Health Leader Award (Excellence). This award is given by the Health Promotion Board, to give national recognition to organizations which have worked hard in the past year to promote health to employees.

August 2004

National Day Awards

4 of our staff were proud recipients of this year's National Day Awards. Associate Professor Rathi Mahendran, Vice Chairman of Medical Board, IMH, was awarded The Public Administration Medal (Bronze). Mdm Tang Siew Heng, Principal Nurse Educator, was awarded The Commendation Medal. Both Nursing Officer Mdm Heng Puay Kwang, and Senior Nursing Officer Mdm Susan Lim Seuk Kean, were awarded with The Efficiency Medal.

IMH Scores Three World Class Ratings In MOH Patient Satisfaction Survey

30% of our outpatients rated IMH/WH 'excellent' in service. IMH/WH received 'World Class' ratings in Co-ordination of care, knowledge / skills of doctors and care / concern of doctors; and 'Excellent Class' ratings in all the other areas. Amongst the specialised institutions surveyed, IMH/WH had the highest number of 'World Class' ranked items. Commissioned by MOH, the survey on healthcare providers in Singapore was conducted to fine tune the level of service provision amongst healthcare providers.

Healthcare Humanity Awards 2004

For their dedication and care that had extended beyond the patients of IMH, two of our staff, Nursing Officer Ho Soo Kim and Senior Assistant Nurse Saba'aton Bte Abdul Samat, were awarded the inaugural Healthcare Humanity Awards 2004 on 31 May 2004. This award honours and recognises healthcare workers who are inspirational role models exemplifying the values of courage, extraordinary dedication, selflessness, steadfastness in ethics, compassion and humanity. These values underscore that healthcare is a noble profession.
