Patient Service Associate
The Challenges
To provide efficient counter service for registration, cash collection, enquiry, recording/tracking of records and appointment at the Ambulatory Services Department.
- Diploma in any discipline with 1 year relevant experience OR GCE 'O' level/NITEC holder with 3 years relevant experience
- Service-oriented, confident and have a passion for helping others
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Challenges
The successful candidate will be responsible for translating narrative descriptions of diseases and procedures into codes, according to pre-defined casemix classification system.
You are required to accurately code the Diagnosis Related Groups (DRG) for IMH patient episodes in accordance with national and hospital coding standards. You will also need to communicate effectively with clinicians to ensure timeliness and accuracy on coding. Training will be provided.
The Requirements
- Knowledge of casemix classification and 3M coder is an advantage
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Non-registrable foreign MBBS, Bachelor Degree in HIM, minimum Diploma in Nursing / Paramedical discipline or Certificate in Clinical Coding
- Qualifications in Nursing or Health Science disciplines
